For January, "Surprise" stories! We pulled character, setting and problem from 3 different envelopes - then developed them into a story with our own solution! Look for 2nd grade authors who are using quotation marks for dialogue, adjective-noun combinations to make their stories more interesting, and all around imaginative tales. (**Stories are in their original form, with no adult editing.) Our Nov. and Dec. stories are still available; go back and see how much we've grown!

Alexandra's Story

Once upon a time five girls were playing outside. When Alicia was on the rings she fell off and broke her arm. She had to go to the doctor. The doctor took care of her and she was better in a weekend. They lived happily ever after.
